do you actually think that you’ll have a job when you graduate? Don’t be stupid, love. You’ll end up working at Home Depot and doing janky community theatre on the weekends. That’s ok, but don’t dream like you’re going to be a big name someday because that’s just not going to happen.

I hate all of you. I’m sorry for this because technically, you have no reason to be nice to me. You’re not mean…you’re just not nice. But I hate you for it. I’ve tried not to, but I do. I hate you for sucking me in just a little bit and making me sense the possibility. To push me into dreams (literal dreams) of having what I haven’t had in a very long time. I hate you for making me want things that I can’t have and may never have. I hate you for reminding me that at this juncture in my life I have no real friends. There is no one here who I legitimately expect to know three years from now…and I hate that. I hate it in a way that eats and destroys and mulls for weeks on end and I hate that you are a symbol for everything that I am not.
